Schools and Childcare: Information for parents and carers

Schools

Schools within the borough of Rochdale will remain open to all those children of keyworkers and vulnerable children.

Childcare

We are currently working to ensure that childcare settings remain open to all those children of keyworkers and vulnerable children. In some circumstances childcare settings may need to merge together to provide care.

Where there are no places available or settings have had to close due to staff isolation, we will assist you to find an alternative setting for your child. Please contact Rochdale Family Information Service at family.info@rochdale.gov.uk

Who is a vulnerable child?

Vulnerable children include children who are supported by social care, those with safeguarding and welfare needs, including child in need plans, on child protection plans, ‘looked after’ children, young carers, disabled children and those with education, health and care (EHC) plans.
