Rochdale and District Mind

About

Supportive and reliable information can change your life. That’s what we do. We empower people to understand their condition and the choices available to them through one to one sessions, counselling, support groups and wellbeing courses.

What we do

We provide a range of services to support people with mild to moderate mental health and wellbeing issues in the Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale area.  Our services are designed by people with lived experience for service users.  We are focused on wellbeing and recovery, and have a person centred approach in supporting people to lead fulfilling lives.

Our projects are unique and designed to meet the needs of different people from the age of 12 and upwards.  Our services incorporate different types of information and support based on different projects and personal needs.

Everything you disclose to us will be treated in the strictest confidence, and will not be shared with any other organisations without your permission.

Wellbeing support groups and courses

Every year, one in four of us will experience a mental health problem. We believe no one should have to face a mental health problem alone.

When you’re experiencing a mental health problem, supportive and reliable information can change your life. That’s what we do. We empower people to understand their condition and the choices available to them.

We won’t give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets support and respect.

BAME and new emerging community services

We are committed to improving the mental health and emotional wellbeing for individuals from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities who experience mental health and wellbeing instabilities, proactively supporting them on their journey to emotional health and wellbeing.

We provide culturally sensitive services that are better able to meet the needs of diverse local BAME communities in Rochdale. To do this, we are improving access to services for marginalised communities and tackling the stigma, cultural taboos and discrimination that is still associated with mental health.
