After school clubs offer care after school to primary school age children.
Search for local after school clubs
They usually close at around 6pm, during term-time. Some clubs also provide a full day service during the summer holidays. Some offer transportation from neighbouring schools.
An after school clubmight be for you if:
- You're looking for childcare after school hours.
- You have to work late.
Ofsted inspections
Ofsted regularly inspects all after school clubs, to assess their strengths and highlight areas for improvement.
- Every after school club has a URN (Unique Reference Number).
- Go to the Ofsted site and enter the URN to search for their report.
