Healthwatch Rochdale

About

We are the independent national champion for people who use health and social care services. We’re here to make sure those running services, and the government, put people at the heart of care.

What we do

Our sole purpose is to understand the needs, experiences and concerns of people who use health and social care services and to speak out on their behalf.

We focus on ensuring people’s worries and concerns about current services are addressed. We work to get services right for the future.

We support local Healthwatch to find out what people want and to advocate for services that meet local communities’ needs. Healthwatch around the country act as our eyes and ears on the ground, letting us know how people’s care could be improved.

In addition to sharing what we hear from Healthwatch about people’s views of services, we also encourage those running services to involve people in changes to care.

Youthwatch Rochdale

Do you want to help create better health experiences for young people in Rochdale?

As the independent local champion for people who use health and social care services in the Rochdale borough we have developed Youthwatch to make sure that young people get the opportunity to have their say. We are looking for volunteers aged between 13 – 18 years old who either live, work or study in the Rochdale borough.

Youthwatch members are voluntary and will help us engage with young people, gather their experiences of services and promote the work of Healthwatch Rochdale.

For more information, see our website: Youthwatch volunteers.

Give feedback on GP surgeries and mental health support

Residents across the borough of Rochdale in Greater Manchester are being asked to give their views about local GPs and mental health support, along with other services, through an online feedback form run by an independent patient and users’ group.

Healthwatch Rochdale gathers the public’s views on local health and care services including doctors’ surgeries and mental health support. Public feedback is used to shape future services and changes, locally and nationally.

To leave your feedback see the Healthwatch Rochdale website.
