About

The Fed is the leading social care charity for the Greater Manchester Jewish Community, looking after hundreds of people of all ages, at any one time, in their own homes or at Heathlands Village. 

Our vision is a community where people can live life to the full, feeling safe, valued and cared for.

What we do

Our purpose is to provide outstanding advice, support and care services to people of all ages living in the Jewish and local community.

Our community care

The Fed offers a wide range of specialist services including:

  • Community advice and support - Our Community Advice and Support Team (CAST) can support you individually, or as a family, if you are experiencing a social care problem. We can also support you if you are aged 18 or over and experiencing difficulty in caring for a loved one.

  • Community activities - As well as offering individual support, The Fed offers group support. Activities for adults are based at our Community Centre at Heathlands Village, we also offer activities for children based there aswell.

  • Moorview Supported Independent Living - If you are aged 55 or older and need support to help you live independently, Moorview could be a great solution. At Moorview, we offer rented accommodation with the option of general support and/or support with personal care.

  • Volunteer support - The Fed’s trained and supervised volunteers offer a befriending service and practical support.

Heathlands Village is a Jewish home with ultra modern facilities where we provide the highest standard of person-centred care. With a wide variety of care options available, we can offer continuity of care even if your needs increase.
