Action Together
About
At Action Together we know people can make things happen as we see it everyday. Across Oldham, Rochdale and Tameside, there are thousands of people changing lives, improving neighbourhoods and contributing positively to our area. We believe by learning together, sharing skills and pooling resources we can get more done.
What we do
Action Together offers a range of support to strengthen communities.
- We support people to get help, providing opportunities to get better connected to what is going on in their community and find the support they need.
- We strengthen community and voluntary groups by providing support to run their group, find and secure resources and work together to do more.
- We encourage people, businesses and the public sector to give their time, skills and resources to support good causes in their community.

Respond, Repair and Recover Fund
Our fund connects local community action and helps to co-ordinate efforts in response to the needs of residents. It funds good neighbour, mutual aid and social action projects that directly help people affected by the effects of the virus.
Our fund is designed to support the community, voluntary, faith and social enterprise sector to respond with new ideas that help, connect or support people through this crisis.
You can apply for a grant for either up to £200 or up to £1,000.

Food Solutions Network
Voluntary organisations, statutory bodies and Action Together in Rochdale are working together to tackle food crisis for families and individuals struggling to afford food and the stigma and shame around food poverty and access to appropriate food for those isolated in Rochdale.
This group of voluntary organisations together with Action Together launched the Food Solutions Network. The network has over 30+ organisations who work together to tackle food poverty and safe access to appropriate food. After discussing all the issues and the possibilities of a better way forward - the idea of the Community Warehouse was born.
