Skylight Circus Arts

Skylight Circus Arts aims to empower individuals and communities through the learning, practice and discipline of physical circus skills.

We specialise in making people feel good through achievement.

What we do

Skylight runs regular circus classes for all ages and abilities from:

  • Juggling
  • Trapeze
  • Plate spinning
  • Unicycling
  • Specialist circus and aerial swing sessions for people with disabilities

Circus is a great way to learn new and unique skills in a fun, friendly environment whilst improving coordination, fitness and strength.

Side by Side Circus

This service offers emotional health and wellbeing support through circus activities for 8 to 16 year olds as well as families with young children. This includes weekly sessions for young people and family circus which is a programme of 4 sessions focusing on primary school age.

We work closely with schools, inclusion and family workers, early help centres and social workers in order to identify families in need. Young People will be referred and signposted to weekly sessions by organisations already working with them to address and help with emotional disabilities and relationship difficulties.

These organisations include:

  • #Thrive
  • Healthy Young Minds
  • MIND Listen Up project
  • Cared for Team and Rochdale Connections
