The Hesley Group

About

The Hesley Group provides flexible, specialist residential services and schools. We aim to offer the best possible care, education and vocational opportunities for young people and adults, often with autism, who have a learning disability and complex needs with behaviour that may challenge.

What we do

We pride ourselves on our unique provision of non-traditional residential support. We consider that positive physical environments demonstrate our commitment to those who live in or otherwise access our services. We see that such environments have a strongly positive influence in creating the best therapeutic milieu for the people who live within them and for the staff to work in.

We believe our staff frequently go the extra mile to do their very best for the people they support. This is evidenced by, for example, not only the range of activities undertaken but also the enthusiasm with which this is done. From supporting people living in services to really enjoy seasonal activities, to making sure activities genuinely reflect people’s choices, we are proud of how staff strive to bring happiness and fulfilment to the lives of those they support.

18 to 25 - Independent specialist colleges

Our college campuses at Fullerton House and Wilsic Hall offer positive and empowering education and care, 52 weeks of the year. Representing the next step to greater independence, we create bespoke education, training and wider curricular programmes around the young person’s needs and goals.

All within a safe, secure and caring environment and for those coming from in our schools, we balance new challenges with the reduced stress of a familiar setting, with familiar faces.

18 plus - Adult services

Moving from children’s to adult services can be a difficult time. Whether people move on to our adult services from one of our schools or from home or another provider, making this transition as seamless as possible is a key foundation for positive future progress.
