ProContact Services for separated families
About
Pro Contact enables and promotes contact for children to maintain a healthy relationship with both sets of parents. The children and young people are at the core of what we do.
What we do
Pro-Contact offers a range of contact services for families and can help make informed decisions about how to arrange safe and positive contact arrangements. We can help you establish the best way of maintaining a relationship in a safe and positive way.
Supervised contact
This is often used when an assessment is needed to see if beneficial contact can be established whilst monitoring risk and quality of relationships. Also it is useful when there has been a long gap in contact and it needs to be reintroduced in a safe and controlled way.
These sessions are supervised by a case worker who usually writes a report for the Cafcass officer, solicitor or social worker involved with the family and the information is shared with the court to inform the final decision about contact.
Supported contact
This is a safe space where contact is facilitated by staff and volunteers who remain in the contact room to support families to have a good time together. It ensures physical safety and emotional wellbeing of your child. It enables children and members of their family to build and sustain positive relationships.
Handovers
We provide a fortnightly handover service where parents use the centre to collect and/or drop off children.
