Hollin Children's Centre

Children's Centres provide children up to 5 years old and their families with a range of services and information.

We help your child develop through a range of different play activities and also to provide the opportunity for you to attend groups and courses at the centre. We are linked to other local services such as the Family Information Service, NHS and Job Centre Plus and you can access help from professionals including midwives, health visitors and the family learning team.

Wednesday sessions

Family Foods 9.30am – 11.30am (4 week course)
Come along and let your child enjoy some healthy cooking and tasting. Suitable for 0-5 year olds.

Thursday sessions

Health Visitors 9am – 12.30pm

Health Visitor sessions must be booked through the Health Visitor. Suitable for parents and young children.

Physical Play 9.30am – 11.30am (no session 18th August)

This drop in session supports your child's physical development whilst having fun playing ball games, balancing and racing. Suitable for children aged 0-5 years. 

Baby Massage 11am – 12pm (no session 18th August)

Drop in session helps you to strengthen your relationship with your baby and helps you bond. Find out how nurturing and relaxing massage can improve your social and emotional development, as well as your baby's language development. Suitable for non-mobile babies.

Baby Sensations 1pm – 2.30pm (no session 18th August)

A session based on Five to Thrive principles, Respond cuddle, relax, play and talk which promotes healthy brain development through sensory play. Suitable for non-mobile babies.

Play and Learn Focus on Numbers and Words 1pm – 3pm (no session 18th August)

Drop in session to learn through play using the indoor and outdoor environment to get your child ready for school. Suitable for children aged 0–5 years.

Friday sessions

Antenatal and Postnatal Clinic 9am – 3.30pm
