About

Family Hubs provide a range of support services for families with children aged 0-19 or 0-25 for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

We help you and your family through a range of different support and also provide the opportunity for you to attend groups and courses at the centre. We are linked to other local services such as the Family Information Service, health, adult care, SEND teams and Job Centre Plus. You can access help from professionals including midwives, health visitors and the family learning team.

Wednesday

Music and movement 9.30am – 10.30am

Come along to an action packed session. Join in with lots of ring games, rhymes, songs and dance. Meet other parents whilst developing your child’s physical skills. Suitable for 18 months to 5 years.

Healthy baby eaters 11am - 12.30pm (starting 10th April)

Suitable for children aged 6-18 months. Come along and let your child enjoy some healthy cooking and tasting.

Boogie babies 1.30pm – 2.30pm

Come along to the centre and enjoy nursery rhymes and action songs with your baby. A session where you can meet other parents whilst bonding with your baby. Suitable for babies aged 0 -18 months.

Health visitors A.S.Q.

Appointment only. Contact the health visitors on 0161 206 7729.

Wellcomm assessments various times and dates

If you have concerns about your child’s speech and communication development then please call any centre to make an appointment with any one of our early years team.

Baby massage 9.30am – 10.30am (no session 4th April)

A weekly course which will strengthen your relationship and help you bond with your baby. Suitable for none mobile babies.

Childminding group 9.30am – 11.30am

A childminder led play session for childminders to use the centre facilities.

Baby sensations 1pm – 2pm

A session based on the Five to Thrive principles; respond, cuddle, relax, play and talk which promotes health brain development through sensory play. Suitable for non-mobile babies.

Messy play 1pm – 2.30pm (no session 4th April)

A session based on the Five to Thrive key activities; respond, cuddle, relax, play, talk and promoting attachment with your baby through sensory play. Suitable for children aged 0-5 years. 

Friday

Antenatal and postnatal clinic


To book an appointment with a midwife see Badger Notes self-refer your pregnancy to NCA.

Play and learn 9.30am – 11.30am (no session 5th April)

Learn through play using the indoor and outdoor environment and to get children school ready. You can talk to practitioners to get advice and support on a range of child focused issues. Suitable for children aged 0-5 years.

Healthy little eaters 10am – 11.30am

Come along and let your child enjoy some healthy cooking and tasting. Suitable for children aged 0 – 5 years plus.
