Alzheimers Society (North West)

There are many types of dementia. The most common are Alzheimer's disease, vascular dementia and dementia with Frontotemporal dementia.

Take a look at our different types of dementia (external link).

What we do

There are many ways you can get involved and support us from fundraising and events, volunteering, taking part in our campaigning.

Our unique research programme funds research into the cause, cure, care and prevention of dementia to improve treatment for people today and to search for a cure for tomorrow.

Music making and singing sessions

Who's it for?

People living with dementia and their family/carers and people over 50 years of age.

What we do

Thanks to funding from Ambition to Ageing, ten music sessions are being delivered at Kashmir Youth Project in Rochdale for people living with dementia and their family or carers and people over 50 years of age.

These music making and singing sessions are fun and bring people together to share time with the intention of reducing social isolation to improve well being and quality of life.
