Care Leavers Access to Free Prescriptions

About

A care leaver is a young person aged 16-25 years old who has been 'looked after' at some point since they were 14 years old and were in care on or after their 16th birthday.

Care leavers are entitled to some ongoing help and support from Children's Services after they cease to be cared for, including free prescriptions,  help with the cost of eye tests, glasses or contact lenses.

If you are a care leaver, you can speak to your specialist nurse or personal advisor for further information and to make a referral on your behalf.

Practitioners please sign in for referral details and form.
