Pure Innovations supports society’s most vulnerable and disadvantaged people to live a more fulfilled, inclusive lifestyle. We support individuals aged 18 years plus to be an integral part of their community through a range of projects across the Rochdale area. We offer personalised support enabling people to take part in our activities and lead full and interesting lives. 

Our inspiring activities

The Jonathan Burns Day Centre

We host to a variety of fun filled and inspiring activities. This ranges from food technology, card making, art sessions and working with textiles, this gives our clients sensory experiences and useful life skills.

We have physical programs of activities such as Tai Chi, circuit training, exercise, music and dance. We also encourage exercise through our walking groups.

Our care projects in Rochdale

The Station House Model Railway

Our model railway project is designed to engage all levels of skill and ability. The project encourages the enthusiasts to build and create the model railway from scratch.

Life Skills gained from joining our project include:

  • Researching historical facts
  • Investigating historical era’s
  • Learning through crafts and detailed scenery
  • Construction
  • Distance learning sessions supported by the National Rail Museum
  • Resources supported by the Science Museum

The Creative Hub

Our Creative Hub project is designed to engage all levels of skill and ability.

Clients are given the opportunity to express themselves through different mediums and gain confidence along the way. Participating in such activities can increase your skill set from coordination to creativity, but they can also be a new way to express yourself and communicate.

Skills gained from joining our project include:

  • Sewing
  • Embroidery
  • Card making
  • T-shirt printing
  • Glass etching
  • Mug printing

This project features many activities and lesson plans which have proven successful with clients achieving a sense of personal satisfaction of completing a craft project.

The Wood Shack

We focus directly on what abilities our clients have and develop their skill set accordingly. Our team have a wealth of experience working with adults living with a range of conditions and will endeavour to meet your every need.

Outcomes from joining our project include:

  • Clients being supported with woodwork projects and progress is tracked along the way.
  • Clients have a clear plan and are supported to achieve their goals.
  • Clients produce products, such as planters, bird boxes and miniature picnic tables.

The Jonathan Burns - Weekend Service

Our weekend service will focus on social interaction and fun.

Activities will include:

  • Cake making
  • Film watching
  • Games/Quiz
  • Bingo
  • Computers
  • Art/Craft

These activities are designed to allow each client to grow confidence, help mental wellbeing and positive friendships.

Adult Day Care Service

Our range of supported activities take place either within our own building, The Jonathan Burns centre or out in the wider community.

Our range of projects include:

  • Volunteering roles
  • Wood work shop
  • Model railway
  • Animation
  • Creative hub plus many more.

Clients are supported with all projects and progress is tracked along the way. We ensure all our clients have a clear plan and are supported to achieve their goals.

We also offer bespoke services to clients who have a higher need for support. We have a number of vehicles including wheelchair accessible ones and we may be able to offer transport to and from the centre for a small charge.
