Volunteering opportunities with the NHS
About
Volunteers play an important role within our services; their contributions allow us to enrich and extend the range of services we offer to patients, their relatives and carers.
How it works
Volunteering is a two way process; that of helping to meet and enhance the care of patients, their relatives and carers and to provide an avenue for members of the community to offer their services.
If you have time to spare, have skills to share and enjoy meeting people, then we want to hear from you.
In return we will provide:
- Appropriate training
- Regular support
- Out of pocket expenses
Our volunteers work in various settings including hospitals, clinics and in the community. We have many varied roles available in clinical and administrative settings.
Examples of volunteer roles include:
- Health Walk Leader
- Service Connector
- Social Inclusion Assistant
- Admin Assistant
- Inpatient befriender
