Kids

KIDS are a national charity, providing a wide range of support services to disabled children, young people and their families. We support children with any disability from birth to 25 years of age.

What we do

We offer our support to the whole family with the aim of giving disabled children a brighter future.

We cannot change a diagnosis and we cannot cure but we can, and we do, make a very real difference to the lives of families with a disabled child through high quality, practical and tailored services delivered by dedicated professional staff.

Everything we do places the child at the centre of our support, our services then focus on providing care, which wraps around the child within their family.

KIDS Direct Short Breaks Service

The KIDS Direct Short Breaks Service is a flexible service designed to help you care for a disabled child or young person aged up to 25 by providing exactly what it says: a short break, which can last from 1 hour to a full day.

While you to catch up with the shopping, or put your feet up with a cup of tea, a trained short break worker will help your child to participate in exciting activities, learn new skills, or just keep them company for a walk in the park.

It’s easy to get started all you need to do is browse, book and break.
