About

Family Hubs provide a range of support services for families with children aged 0-19 or 0-25 for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

We help you and your family through a range of different support and also provide the opportunity for you to attend groups and courses at the centre. We are linked to other local services such as the Family Information Service, health, adult care, SEND teams and Job Centre Plus. You can access help from professionals including midwives, health visitors and the family learning team.

Monday

No sessions 1st April

Baby sensations 9.30am – 10.30am

A session based on the five to thrive principles. Respond, cuddle, relax, play and talk which promotes healthy brain development through sensory play. Suitable for babies who are non-mobile.

Play and learn 9.30am – 11am (no session 1st and 8th April)

Learn through play using the indoor and outdoor to get children school ready. You can talk to practitioners to get advice and support on a range of child focused issues. Suitable for babies who are non-mobile.

IY baby 12.30pm – 2.30pm (new course starting 29th April)

10 week course helps bonding with baby understanding early child development from baby’s first cues to baby’s brain development. Please speak to Lisa or Danielle for more information.

Tuesday

Baby massage 9.30am – 10.30am (no session 2nd and 23rd April)

A weekly course which will strength your relationship and help you bond with your baby. Find out how relaxing and nurturing massage can improve baby’s social, emotional and language development. For non-mobile babies.  

Play and learn 9.30am – 11am (no session 23rd April)

Learn through play using the indoor and outdoor environment and to get children school ready. You can talk to practitioners to get advice and support on a range of child focused issues. Suitable for children aged 0-5 years.

Webster Stratton 12.30pm – 2.30pm

An evidence based early intervention programme for parents of children aged 2-8 years which aims to reduce child behaviour difficulties, increase parent’s confidence and improve parent/child interactions. This is a 14 week programme run for 2 hours each week. Crèche available.

Antenatal clinic

To book an appointment with a midwife see Badger Notes self-refer your pregnancy to NCA.

Messy play 9.30am – 11am (no session 3rd and 27th April)

 A session based on the five to thrive key activities: Respond, Cuddle, Relax, Play, Talk and promoting attachment with your baby through sensory play. Easter Activities.
