Cricket (Lord's Taverners Super 1s programme)
About
Lancashire Cricket foundation currently have eight community hubs delivering cricketing opportunities across the North West.
To participate in these sessions, participants also have the opportunity to represent their hub in competitions against the other hubs and make new friends in doing so. There are also potential festivals, leadership awards and skills workshops available for Super 1's players as part of the programme, as well as progress onto the disability cricket county pathway for those that would like to pursue higher levels of the game representing Lancashire.
What we do
The super 1s disability cricket programme gives young people with disabilities the chance to play regular cricket. By creating community cricket hubs where young people can receive weekly coaching, we give participants the chance to compete with their peers and enjoy the benefits of playing sport. The programme aims to increase levels of confidence, communication, leadership and independence for disabled young people.
