We are the independent national champion for people who use health and social care services. We’re here to make sure those running services, and the government, put people at the heart of care.
Our sole purpose is to understand the needs, experiences and concerns of people who use health and social care services and to speak out on their behalf.
We focus on ensuring people’s worries and concerns about current services are addressed. We work to get services right for the future.
We support local Healthwatch to find out what people want and to advocate for services that meet local communities’ needs. Healthwatch around the country act as our eyes and ears on the ground, letting us know how people’s care could be improved.
In addition to sharing what we hear from Healthwatch about people’s views of services, we also encourage those running services to involve people in changes to care.
Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, we have all been asked to Stay at Home, Save Lives, and Protect the NHS, which has now subsequently been updated by the UK government to Stay Alert, Control the Virus, Save Lives.
How are you coping with this?
The following short survey will help us understand how people are coping with the situation and also gather information regarding what you think could make the situation easier to live with.
We would like to hear about things that are working well as well as things that could improve lives. We also would like to hear any ideas you may have that could be shared with the wider community.
We will be sharing the anonymised findings from this survey with Rochdale Council, HMR CCG, Public Health Rochdale and other relevant partners. They will then combine this with other sources of information and adapt services to better suit the needs of the Rochdale Borough Community.
Please note that this survey is here to collect your experiences only. If you require medical help or support, you should contact NHS 111 with COVID-19 related symptoms or contact your GP with other health concerns (check your GP's website for the latest guidance about how to make appointments).
If you need support with social care services, you should contact Rochdale Adult Care on 0300 303 8886 or via their email firstname.lastname@example.org
If you are self-isolating and need support collecting shopping, prescriptions, or would like a befriender to get in touch with you, you should call the Rochdale Borough Coronavirus Support Line on Call 01706 923685. Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. The line is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
