What we do

The whole service works from a person centred philosophy, meaning the service is client led. We have a range of core services such as advocacy (one-to-one work with young people) and training to family services and emotional health and wellbeing services.

We work in a way with our young people, and their families, so they are empowered to make changes in their lives, we help them to make positive decisions and to become responsible for the decisions they make.

Where’s Your Head At? (16 to 21 year olds)

We are an emotional health and wellbeing support group for 16 to 21 year olds, we run every Tuesday 5pm to 7pm.

We provide access to a range of positive activities to address emotional health and wellbeing such as arts and crafts, upcycling, mindfulness, holistic therapies, yoga, food for mood and laughter therapy.

Therapy services we offer

Calm Therapies

These are targeted early intervention emotional health and wellbeing therapies, they offer one to one therapeutic intervention by holistic therapies and work to reduce, anxiety and stress, sleep problems, low mood, anger issues and substance misuse (including tobacco). The project will be delivered in all Rochdale neighbourhood areas by schools. For ages from 11 to 16 years.

Inner Calm

This offers a rolling group work programme and one to one work to address the emotional wellbeing needs of vulnerable young people. The programme is designed on the 5 ways to wellbeing which will help young people to connect, be active, keep learning, give to others, and be mindful. It supports the emotional health and wellbeing of vulnerable young people aged from 16 to 21 years.

Please contact us for further information on the referral pathway.

Holding Families programme

This programme provides whole family support for children and family members affected by parental substance misuse. We work with parents and carers at any stage of their recovery from drugs and alcohol use.

We work with each family member separately and also as a family unit. We will work with families where there is at least one young person under the age of 18 living in the family home or where the substance using parent is pregnant. At least one of the parents should have problematic drug or alcohol use. Families can be referred by themselves or by any professional working with them.
